Terms of Service

2.1 Age Requirements

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. Users between 16 and 18 (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction) may only use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly.

2.2 Account Creation

Certain features require an Account. You may register using email/password or Google Sign-In. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

2.3 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You must notify us immediately at support@astroak.com of any unauthorized access.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Account.
• We may suspend or terminate Accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised or used in violation of these Terms.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your Account.

2.4 One Account Policy

Each individual may maintain only one active Account. Creating multiple Accounts to abuse welcome bonuses, promotional offers, or rate limits is prohibited and may result in termination of all related Accounts and forfeiture of remaining Stars.

3.1 Overview

AstroAk is an AI-powered astrology platform offering personalised written Reports based on real astronomical calculations and large language model interpretation. The Service is delivered as a web application; there is no mobile app.

3.2 Modules

• Free Birth Chart: Big Three, elements, planets, aspect grid, key aspects, houses. No account or stars required.
• Natal Report (25 stars): Full enriched chart with stelliums, fixed stars, Arabic parts, asteroids, Sabian symbols, decan/term, antiscia, and a 9-section AI narrative.
• Health Report (35 stars): Full medical-astrology suite with Body Map, Psych Radar, Psychosomatic Bridges, Temperament, Hyleg, per-region and per-domain AI narratives, energy rhythm, stress map, and recommendations.
• Synastry Report (35 stars): Compatibility analysis between two saved Persons (when available).

3.3 Calculations and AI

All astronomical calculations are performed in-house using the Celestia engine (Swiss Ephemeris). AI-generated narratives are produced by Google Gemini 2.5 Flash. AI output is provided for self-reflection only and does not constitute professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.

3.4 Service Availability

We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, third-party outages, or events beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will provide advance notice for significant changes.

4.1 Nature of Stars

Stars are a non-monetary, non-transferable virtual currency that exists only inside the Service. Stars have no cash value, cannot be exchanged outside the Service, and represent a limited license to access specific Reports.

4.2 Earning Stars

• New accounts receive a one-time welcome bonus of 10 Stars.
• Additional Stars may be granted through promotions, refunds, or compensation events at our sole discretion.
• Welcome bonuses are limited to one per person; we may revoke duplicates from multi-account abuse.

4.3 Purchasing Stars

• Stars are sold in fixed packages: 55 Stars / $4.99 — 120 Stars / $9.99 — 400 Stars / $29.99.
• All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, the Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles tax collection, invoicing, fraud prevention, and refunds.
• Prices may be displayed in your local currency by Lemon Squeezy at checkout.
• Purchased Stars are credited to your Account immediately after Lemon Squeezy confirms the payment via webhook.
• We reserve the right to change Star pricing or package contents at any time. Changes will not affect Stars already credited.

4.4 Deferred Charging Model

Stars are NOT deducted when you press “Generate”. Instead, Stars are deducted only after the Report has finished generating successfully. If the calculation engine or AI provider fails to produce any narrative content, you are charged only the chart-only cost (5–15 Stars depending on tier) and the difference is refunded automatically. If the entire pipeline fails before any output is created, no Stars are deducted at all.

4.5 Refund Policy for Stars

Once a Report has been successfully delivered to your Account, the Stars consumed for that Report are non-refundable. This is because AI inference, astronomical calculations, and infrastructure costs are incurred at the moment of generation. Refunds for the underlying star purchase (currency-to-stars transaction) are governed by Lemon Squeezy’s refund policy and applicable consumer protection law.

4.6 Star Expiry and Forfeiture

• Stars do not expire as long as your Account remains active.
• Upon Account termination (by you or by us), any remaining Stars are forfeited without compensation.
• We may revoke Stars obtained through fraud, chargeback, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
• If we permanently discontinue the Service, we will provide reasonable notice and where feasible offer a refund or migration path for purchased Stars used in the preceding 90 days.

4.7 Statutory Withdrawal Right (EU/Türkiye)

For users in the EU and Türkiye, the statutory right of withdrawal for digital content does not apply once you have begun consuming Stars (e.g. generated a Report) because the digital content has been supplied with your express prior consent. By generating a Report you acknowledge and accept the loss of the right of withdrawal for the consumed Stars.

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all data you submit (birth data of saved Persons, account profile, settings). By submitting data, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process, store, transmit, and display that data solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service for you. We do not use your personal data to train third-party AI models.

5.2 Birth Data of Third Parties

When you save birth data for another person (Person profile), you represent that you have a legitimate basis to do so (your own knowledge of a public figure, family member, friend, etc.). You must not enter sensitive data of others in a way that violates their privacy or applicable law. We provide a public sharing feature that masks the Person’s name and never exposes geographic coordinates.

5.3 Content Restrictions

You agree not to submit any content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of privacy.
• Infringes any intellectual property right of any third party.
• Contains malicious code, scripts, or attempts at injection.
• Impersonates any person or entity.
• Contains intentionally false birth data submitted to manipulate the Service or generate artefacts.

5.4 AI-Generated Reports

All written narrative sections of a Report are generated by an AI model and are provided as-is. Reports may contain errors, omissions, hallucinated statements, or culturally sensitive language. You should treat Reports as a tool for self-reflection, not as professional advice or factual claim.

5.5 Removal Rights

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to monitor, review, or remove any content submitted to the Service that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or applicable law.

6.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, prompts, or model outputs in bulk.
• Use automated systems, bots, or headless browsers to interact with the Service in a way that exceeds normal human use.
• Circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or any other technical protection.
• Create multiple Accounts to abuse welcome bonuses, promotions, or limits.
• Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit Reports beyond personal use and the built-in sharing feature.
• Send spam or unsolicited messages through any communication feature.
• Interfere with or disrupt servers, networks, or services connected to the Service.
• Attempt to access other users’ Accounts or data.

6.2 Rate Limits

Report generation is rate limited to 3 concurrent or per-minute generations per Account, with a hard cap of 300 total Reports and 30 saved Persons per Account. These limits exist to ensure fair usage and platform stability. We may adjust limits at any time.

6.3 Fair Use

The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Practitioners (astrologers, coaches, consultants) may use the Service for their own clients provided they comply with all consent and data protection obligations and do not resell Reports as their own primary product without written permission.

7.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Service and all of its contents — including software, prompts, design system, illustrations, icons, copy, the Celestia integration layer, and the AstroAk brand — are owned by Pilavyer Software or its licensors and are protected by Turkish and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Limited Licence

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. This licence does not include the right to:

• Modify, copy, or create derivative works of the Service.
• Use any data mining, scraping, or similar collection methods.
• Download any content unless expressly permitted.
• Use AstroAk or Pilavyer Software trademarks or logos without prior written consent.
• Sublicense, sell, or commercially exploit any part of the Service.

7.3 Trademarks

AstroAk and Pilavyer Software, together with related logos and brand elements, are trademarks of the Company. You may not use them without our prior written permission. All other trademarks appearing on the Service are the property of their respective owners.

7.4 Your Reports

Reports generated for you are your personal content. You may share them privately or via the built-in masked sharing link, but you may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit Report content at scale (e.g. as a paid product) without our prior written permission.

7.5 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use them without obligation to compensate you.

9.1 Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record

All star purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record (MoR) for AstroAk. This means Lemon Squeezy is responsible for collecting, reporting, and remitting applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) in your jurisdiction, issuing the invoice, and handling payment fraud prevention. The contract for the underlying star purchase is between you and Lemon Squeezy on our behalf.

9.2 Pricing

• Star packages are priced in USD; Lemon Squeezy may display localised currency at checkout.
• Applicable taxes are added at checkout where required by law.
• We may change pricing at any time; price changes do not affect previously completed purchases.

9.3 Billing Disputes and Chargebacks

For invoice questions, payment method issues, or refund requests on a star purchase, contact support@astroak.com first. We will coordinate with Lemon Squeezy where required. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate Account suspension and forfeiture of remaining Stars.

9.4 Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Section 9 limits your statutory consumer rights under EU consumer protection law, Turkish consumer protection law (Tüketicinin Korunması Hakkında Kanun No. 6502), or other applicable law. Where mandatory law grants you a refund right that conflicts with these Terms, the mandatory law prevails.

10.1 For Self-Reflection Only

ASTROAK IS PROVIDED FOR SELF-REFLECTION AND PERSONAL EXPLORATION ONLY. THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MEDICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, PSYCHIATRIC, LEGAL, FINANCIAL, OR RELATIONSHIP ADVICE. ASTROLOGICAL INTERPRETATIONS ARE BASED ON TRADITIONAL BELIEF SYSTEMS AND ARE NOT SCIENTIFICALLY VALIDATED.

10.2 Health Module Specifically

The Health module produces medical-astrology interpretations grounded in traditional doctrines (humoural theory, decumbiture, Ibn Sînâ, etc.). It does NOT diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. It does not replace consultation with a licensed physician, psychologist, dietician, or other healthcare professional. If you are experiencing health concerns, seek qualified medical advice. Do not delay or discontinue medical treatment based on Report content.

10.3 No Professional Advice

You should not rely on the Service to make important life decisions. Always consult qualified professionals for matters concerning your health, finances, legal affairs, or relationships. The Company is not responsible for any actions you take based on Report content.

10.4 “As Is” Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10.5 AI Limitations

AI-generated content may contain errors, hallucinations, biases, or inappropriate output. We continuously refine prompts, anti-hallucination rules, and validation logic, but we do not guarantee any specific quality threshold for AI output.

10.6 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services integrated with our platform. Your use of those services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

11.1 Exclusion of Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY OR ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Service.
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
• Any content obtained from the Service, including AI-generated narratives.
• Unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
• Any decisions or actions you take based on Report content.

11.2 Liability Cap

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR STARS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED EURO (€100).

11.3 Mandatory Law Carve-Out

Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law (including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or rights under EU/Turkish consumer law).

13.1 Term

These Terms remain in effect until terminated by you or by us. Your rights under these Terms terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any provision.

13.2 Termination by You

You may delete your Account at any time from Account Settings or by emailing support@astroak.com. Upon deletion, your data is removed according to our Privacy Policy (30-day grace period, then permanent deletion, with limited retention for legal/tax obligations). Remaining Stars are forfeited and no refund is due.

13.3 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your Account, with or without notice, for:

• Material violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
• Conduct harmful to other users, the Service, or third parties.
• Extended periods of inactivity (in which case we will email you in advance where feasible).
• Compliance requirements imposed on us by law enforcement or competent authorities.

13.4 Effects of Termination

• All licences granted to you under these Terms terminate immediately.
• Your Account, saved Persons, and Reports are removed per the Privacy Policy.
• Remaining Stars are forfeited without refund.
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) will survive.

14.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@astroak.com and describe the dispute in good faith. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within thirty (30) days of receiving your notice.

14.2 Consumer Forums

If you are a consumer in Türkiye, you may bring complaints before the relevant Consumer Arbitration Committee (Tüketici Hakem Heyeti) or Consumer Court (Tüketici Mahkemesi) within the monetary thresholds set by the Ministry of Trade. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The exclusive forum for non-consumer disputes shall be the courts and execution offices of Konya, Türkiye. Consumer rights guaranteed by the law of your country of residence are not affected by this clause.

14.4 Equitable Relief

Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any competent court for matters relating to intellectual property rights or unauthorised access to the Service.

15.1 Modification Rights

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service with a new “Last Updated” date and, where required by law, by email or in-app notification at least thirty (30) days before they take effect.

15.2 Acceptance of Changes

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service and may delete your Account.

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any feature-specific terms surfaced in the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

16.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

16.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of the Company.

16.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms (e.g. in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets) without restriction, with notice to you.

16.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, strikes, government actions, or third-party service failures (including outages of Firebase, Gemini, Render, Vercel, Lemon Squeezy, or any other vendor).

16.6 Language

These Terms are provided in English and Turkish. In the event of any conflict between translations, the Turkish version shall prevail for users domiciled in Türkiye; the English version shall prevail for all other users.

16.7 Headings

Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
